Export Growth Partners make a splash at The Business Show in London

20th November 2018

The Export Growth Partners team, a consortium formed by four leading UK business support organisations, attended the UK’s largest business show to officially launch the new venture. The pioneering collaboration consists of Business West, One Midlands, the Growth Company and digital innovators Enterprise Nation.  Last year alone, these organisations have between them assisted UK businesses in achieving additional export sales of £2.26bn.

Over the course of the two day event, the Export Growth Partners team spread their ‘transforming the world of international trade support’ message and connected with over 250 business consultants , who each registered their interest in joining the fastest growing network of its kind.

The vision is to create an integrated, nationally recognised route to world-beating export support. A new directory will bring together all ‘best in class’ international trade experts, and act as a ‘one stop shop’ for anything an exporting business may need.

Export Growth Partners provides support across all stages of the export journey – from market research to overseas market visits, finding buyers to fulfilling export documentation – right up to ensuring payment is received. At the show, over 250 service providers signed up to join the directory, taking the current tally to well over 1,000. The pool of expertise is limitless, with companies offering support with anything from Intellectual Property and logistics, to translation and international e-commerce.

Speaking for Export Growth Partners, Phil Smith, managing director of Business West said:

The launch of EGP is timely particularly in the current climate where it’s never been more important for businesses to have support for exporting. Many of our companies feel daunted by the complexity of exporting. The launch of EGP is timely particularly in the current climate where it’s never been more important for businesses to have support for exporting.

Whatever the outcome of the Brexit negotiations, even if it is a worst case scenario with extra tariffs requiring additional paperwork, we can help. For instance we currently help companies to export to Iraq and we are confident that in the future, it won’t be more difficult to export to Belgium than to Iraq.
