How can Chamber Members get involved with the Pentathlon World Championships in Bath this August?

It’s all systems go at the University of Bath for the Pentathlon GB team, who are finding their starting positions for the UIPM Modern Pentathlon and Laser Run World Championships 2023. The events are a qualifier for the Olympic Games in Paris next year, with the Championships taking place at the University of Bath, Pentathlon GB’s National Training Centre, from the 19th to 28th August. 

Over the 10-day schedule, there are lots of opportunities to watch the action. Tickets are priced from £5-£25 and there are hospitality options too. Businesses can also get involved via sponsorship, being part of our ‘Come and Try’ area or volunteering. 

Business West Chambers of Commerce are hosting a networking breakfast with Pentathlon GB on the 24th August, where attendees will have the chance to meet and mingle with new and familiar faces and learn more about the world class athletes and Championship events taking place at the University. 

We spoke to Rebecca Leach, who is the Championships Director for the event, to tell us more about her career and her role, the exciting activities that are happening, and how Chamber members and local businesses can get involved.
