Ablaze

Since 2005 thousands of young people across the wider Bristol region have been supported by businesses and community volunteers delivering support in schools through Ablaze programmes with the aim of raising aspiration and attainment and improving skill levels to boost young people’s chances in continuing education, employability and life. Our priority for placing emphasis on schools in disadvantaged areas benefits outcomes for young people and supports improved self esteem and social mobility. Through our extensive experience of matching school requests with business offers of support. Ablaze’s role in cementing these partnerships, along with the invaluable contributions of positive role models, is fundamental to our success. Both businesses and schools appreciate our understanding across cultures and value the guidance, support and structure we can provide. Volunteers are mainly but not exclusively from businesses. Ablaze works with organisations to maximise the value volunteers can bring through recruitment, training, introductions to deserving schools and measuring impact. Businesses see the personal development of their staff through volunteering and increased profile.
